It is present all over Italy, but it is difficult to meet it along the coasts and in the Padana plain, its area goes from the plane to over 1000 meters of altitude.

It has a hard and compact wood that can be used for craftsmanship.
It can be difficult if placed in plain areas characterized by very hot and dry summers.
