Botanical and cultivation features
It is present all over Italy, but it is difficult to meet it along the coasts and in the Padana plain, its area goes from the plane to over 1000 meters of altitude.
Diffused in hilly, mountainous and pedestrian areas. It colonizes woods mainly of hardwoods, spots or very exposed radishes. In our environment, it can be naturally associated with hornbeam, beech and oak woods along with other shrubs or trees (domestic sorb, oak, roverella, hornbeam, hazel, viburnum).
It has a hard and compact wood that can be used for craftsmanship.
It can be difficult if placed in plain areas characterized by very hot and dry summers.
